About Različak
Različak is a unique mini resort located on the shore of the emerald-green Perućac Lake, where the mountain air blends with the fresh scent of the lake formed by the Drina River and surrounded by the slopes of Tara Mountain. Nestled in this special place is a small “settlement” consisting of one cabin on the shore and two floating cabins on the water, all named after endemic plants — flowers of Tara Mountain: Različak, Mlečika, and Zvončić. Each of our cabins — floating houses of 35 to 50 m² with large terraces — represents a perfect corner for 4 to 6 people to escape the city hustle and indulge in rest, recreation, and untouched, surreal nature.
The simple architectural lines of our cabins and floating houses, along with their wooden façades and large glass surfaces, harmoniously blend with the surroundings and nature.
The interior of each cabin and floating house is thoughtfully designed to provide all the comforts for a cozy and unforgettable stay. The furniture, set within a wooden environment, is functional and modern; the space layout is practical and minimalistic, and the entire space is equipped with state-of-the-art technology. Most importantly and beautifully, from the terrace as well as from every part of the interior through the huge glass surfaces, there is an all-day open view of Perućac Lake and the slopes of Tara Mountain.
All Season - 365 Days a Year
Različak is named after the endemic flower of Tara Mountain of the same name, but above all, it is unique because it is practically the only accommodation on the water at Perućac Lake operating all year round, 365 days continuously. Različak is unique not only for that but also because it is the only one with stable, permanent, and unlimited supply of electricity and drinking water. Most importantly, it is among the very few that treat all wastewater and other communal waste ecologically correctly, without polluting the natural jewel of Perućac Lake and its surroundings in any way. Also, loud and late-night music and noise are not allowed here. Through a thoughtful and organized “house rules,” we ensure that all our guests enjoy their stay in peace and quiet.
Finally, let us paint a picture of what an “ordinary” day looks like here. Each of our cabins has its own mini beach or large terrace with direct access to the water – Perućac Lake.
Imagine waking up and having your first morning coffee, freshly squeezed orange juice, and/or breakfast next to the perfectly calm, green-glimmering water surface of the lake, disturbed only by the chirping of birds. Just a few steps separate you from refreshing swimming in the pleasant, crystal-clear waters of Perućac or sunbathing on the terrace or our beach. In the afternoon, you can spend time fishing, boating, kayaking, paddleboarding, or simply reading a book, relaxing on the terrace while enjoying the silence and the view of Tara’s slopes reflected in the water. Evenings here hold a special magic.
With the sounds of crickets and a gentle breeze, you can prepare a barbecue or watch the starry sky and moonlight reflecting on the water. Of course, you can also watch a good movie, documentary, or sports program since our TV set covers all channels, YouTube, as well as Netflix and HBO platforms. Last but not least, within a 10-15 minute drive by car, you have numerous gems of Tara Mountain, the Drina River, and their landscapes, many enchanting excursion spots, and scenic views.
